Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) Non-surgical Skin Stretching
Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) non-surgical face lift is a treatment method that tightens and rejuvenates the skin. HIFU is performed by high-intensity focused ultrasound energy reaching a depth of approximately 4.5 mm and does not cause redness, burns and wounds on the skin. As a result of the relaxation of the fascial structures surrounding the muscles under the skin, deep fat pads and muscle tissues leave themselves with the effect of gravity and sagging occurs. Sound waves that create heat energy created by high-intensity focused ultrasound energy focuses on the desired tissue depth and creates small heat damages that increase collagen production in the subcutaneous connective tissue without damaging the upper layer of the skin. As a result, sagging in the deep layers can be recovered with this method.
HIFU is applied as a single session per year and the session takes approximately 35-45 minutes. Recovery time is about 90 days. Although it varies according to the age of the patient and the sagging of the skin, the treatment is repeated every 12-18 months.
It is applied to the jaw line, cheeks, jowl area, neck, eyebrow-forehead area, around the eyes and décolleté to raise eyebrows, which accentuate the face oval. There may be a slight pain sensation at some points during the application. Patients often describe the pain they feel as “stick of needle” or “electrification”. No anesthesia is required during the application.
After the application, tension in the application area for a week, mild headache, slight pain when touching the skin, pulling around the eyes, involuntary throwing on the muscle and edema in some areas are rarely seen.
